Julian Chandler Photography is a collaboration between the husband and wife team of Steven Chandler Price and Ann Julian Roberson. A botanist by training, Steve has published several articles and books on natural history and travel that are illustrated with his own photographs. He is currently CEO/President of a nonprofit foundation, Public Interest Intellectual Property Advisors (www.piipa.org), headquartered in Washington D.C., which is concerned with helping developing countries obtain free Intellectual Property advice. He is also the Assistant Vice President for Technology Development at Oklahoma State University, where he has responsibilities for patent and licensing, contract negotiation, new company formation, and other issues relating to technology transfer. Ann is a French major and lawyer, and has been doing portraits in pencil since her teens. She is presently the attorney for, and is the former president of, The University of Tennessee Research Corporation. Their she is responsible for contract negotiation and licensing. She also has her own consulting business for transactional law in the pharmaceutical industry. Finally, she has an antique business called Julian Chandler Antiques. Between them they have six grown/nearly grown sons whose lives make parents heads spin. Even so they manage to indulge their love for travel, and every trip becomes an excuse to shoot dozens of photographs.

    They have been taking photographs for many years, though started showing their work at art shows in 2000. Since then they have shown their work at dozens of juried art shows, including Art Fair on the Square (2005 and 2006) in Madison, Wisconsin (one of the top 100 art shows in the U.S.), several galleries, and have won numerous awards. Steve is presently working on a book titled: "Botanica Erotica," a synthesis of science and art, illustrated by some of his most sensual photos.

    Their photographs, some of which you see here, are a reflection of their individual interests: Steve likes cross-country camping, fields of wildflowers, and eye-popping color, while Ann opts for Paris in the spring, elegant architecture, and cool black-and-white.
